US Deploys Marines as Iran Conflict Enters Day 15, Global Energy and Security Concerns Rise
New Delhi: The ongoing military confrontation involving the United States, Israel and Iran entered its fifteenth day on Saturday, with fresh troop deployments, continued airstrikes and rising concerns over global energy supplies and regional stability.
According to reports, nearly 2,500 US Marines are being deployed to the Middle East as Washington reinforces its military presence amid continued Israeli and American strikes on Iranian-linked targets. At the same time, Iran has intensified retaliatory actions, including attacks on shipping routes and energy infrastructure in the Persian Gulf.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the situation was being closely monitored and under control, even as tensions continue to affect global oil shipments.
Rising casualties across the region

Israel has indicated that its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon are continuing and may intensify. Reports suggest Israel could expand ground operations in southern Lebanon, potentially marking the largest such operation since the 2006 conflict.
