President Kovind wraps up his 3-nation tour to Europe

President Ram Nath Kovind concludes his successful eight-day three-nation visit to Cyprus, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
During his visit to Cyprus, President addressed an extra ordinary session of the house of representatives and delivered a lecture at the University of Cyprus. While, in Bulgaria, he addressed a business forum and delivered a lecture at the Sofia University. On the last leg of his journey, President interacted with students at the Charles University in Czech Republic.
Earlier before his departure for India from from Prague in Czech Republic, President Ram Nath Kovind, paid floral tributes to Rabindranath Tagore at the Thakurova Park, in Czech Republic’s Prague.
President also addressed students at the Charles University in Prague. This is also the same University where Rabindranath Tagore had addressed students many years ago. The University has had a Sanskrit Chair since 1850. President said that Indology has not just brought India and Czech Republic together, but also has had an enormous impact in the making of Modern India.
President Ram Nath Kovind also said that studies on Yoga have confirmed the positive impact it has on human health and well-being. President expressed happiness that Yoga and Ayurveda are receiving overwhelming support and interest in the Czech Republic.
The President also visited Strahov Monastery in Prague on Saturday. The Strahov Monastry is the oldest premon-straten-sian monestry in Bohemia and one of the most important architectural landmarks in the Czech Republic.
