Massive storm in Nepal

 

In Nepal at least two persons killed and 98 injured in a strong windstorm and heavy rains in Sudurpaschim province last night.

According to Nepal Police two people have been killed and 75 others injured in Kailali district while 23 persons injured in Kanchanpur district.

81 injured were discharged after first aid, while remaining has been admitted in various hospitals. The windstorm destructed many houses and uprooted electricity poles which have disrupted power supply in various parts of both the districts.

In the capital Kathmandu also storm and rains occurred this morning. Meteorological Forecasting Division of Nepal has predicted thunderstorm with gusty winds and lightning in some places of the eastern and central regions and at a few places in western region.
